If you were wondering about whether or not Diablo III would make a nice little pressie for the Xmas stocking this year, we’ve got bad news for you – it won’t. Blizzard recently announced the the highly anticipated RPG won’t be releasing this year but is slated for an early 2012 release.

That said, it’s not entirely uncommon for Blizzard to take their sweet time with game releases, and let’s face it, we all want Diablo III to be as epic as we’re expecting it will be. Six or so extra months is only going to work in our favour (not to mention keeping Blizzard’s reputation for sound game development where it should be, up on high).

In the meantime, why not check out the myriad of other games out there like BioWare Mythic’s Wrath of Heroes or Grinding Gears Games’ Path of Exile? They may not be Diablo, but they’re both extremely promising titles in their own right.
