Who is Game Culture?

My name is Julie Gray and I am freelance journalist that specialises in writing about the entertainment industry. My major focus has been writing for various video game websites and magazines in New Zealand. I write about them, play them, live and breathe them. I am currently the Games Editor for Gamefreaks magazine. My articles have appeared in various places in print including Gamefreaks, Game Console Magazine, and Netguide Magazine and online at Gameplanet, and Buttonmasher to name a few.

So this website is dedicated to my weird and mostly whacky lifestyle and involvement with the video games industry. It’s not a review site (although there will be reviews and previews and all that other good stuff every now and then), but it is a site dedicated to the fantastic community of gamers of which I am proud to be a part of.

And like any hard working freelance journalist, I’m always on the lookout for more work to support my whacky gaming lifestyle so please consider this website as a ‘work in progress’ portfolio of my writing. If you happen to like what you read, you may contact me here for work related inquiries.
